LG Voyager Cell Phone

Final Thoughts:
- The LG Voyager is truly an amazing device. One of the major flaws of the iPhone is the small keypad, so LG made its own QWERTY keyboard on the inside.
- The battery life on this phone is amazing as well. I charged the battery overnight at one point. Using the Music player for 3 hours and talking quite a bit the next day, it was only at 1/2 battery that following morning.
- One thing I didn't list before: While checking voicemail, you have to unlock the phone, hit the "phone" button to bring up a keypad, and THEN type in your voicemail password.
- There are quite a few "multiple step" things with this phone, and that sometimes makes calling someone difficult, especially if you're trying to drive somewhere. In order for me to call Mike, I need to hit unlock -> contacts -> Go To -> "Mi" -> and then I can find mike. There are alphabet brackets, but this becomes difficult and annoying if you need to call Dan. Then the A~I bracket is not an easy one to scroll through since his name is in the middle.
- Sometimes in the middle of a call, I tend to hit the "END" button with my thumb or cheek. If your screen has dimmed out, it will require you to hit "END" twice thankfully. Once to light up the screen, and again to hang up.
- The camera lens tends to be blocked by your finger when taking pictures. It's kind of awkward to hold and I am afraid I'm going to drop it. When I have friends take pictures, they complain that it switches to Video mode automatically, but I haven't had that problem.
- The phone has excellent speakers, which make it easy to hear someone on speakerphone, as well as music you may be playing.
Conclusion:
The LG Voyager is near perfect. The touch-screen unlock feature is the only limiting factor in this phone, which firmware updates could easily solve. In essence, LG couldn't have done any better. The Bluetooth feature is nice, and the USB Mass Storage function is quite easy for transferring data. Verizon is well known for software that doesn't allow MP3 ringtones very easily. After a quick edit in BitPim, I was able to transfer music to the phone and set them as ringtones quite easily. This is a fantastic product, and I easily give it the Editor's Choice Award. Life's Good.
