Apple iPhone

So You Think Size Is An Issue?

The designers at Apple know that size is an issue for many people, and have taken this into account. The iPhone has a 3.5 inch (diagonal) wide screen, allowing for good visibility while in use and easy concealment when not. Standing 4.5 inches tall, 2.4 inches wide, and 0.46 inches thick, the iPhone is only slightly taller than the RAZR when closed and about the same size as the SLVR. In my opinion Apple could not have done a better job in sizing this phone. The 3.5 inch wide screen display allows for users to view applications with ease and not have everything crammed together. At less than half an inch thick this phone slides in and out of your pocket with ease and takes up practically no room.

What About That Glass Screen? Won't It Break If I Drop It?

I've heard a lot of stories about people getting the iPhone and complaining about the screen breaking easily. Apple of course denies this and for my own personal opinion, I wanted to see what the screen could stand up to so i did a couple of tests. First i wanted to simulate keys rubbing against the screen as if they were in your pocket together. Even with a deliberate attempt to scratch the screen i was left disappointed at the fact that i was unable to. Even after almost four months of use, I have yet to see any scratches on the screen from being in my pocket. I ha vent done any official "tests" as far as dropping the phone go, but if you're like me at all, you drop your phone - a lot! I have been talking on the phone and dropped it several times - flat onto concrete. The first time this happened my heart stopped. It was like one of those slow motion scenes in a movie where something valuable slips out of the actors hand and he dives to grab it - only i missed. There are no noticeable scratches on the phone, but if you look closely you can see a few on the chrome that wraps around the outer edge of the phone. In fact the screen may be the strongest part of the phone. I don't know what kind of torture the people below put their iPhone through but I'd like to know...
