In this test, Samsung outperformed the Raptor in almost all operations except the 4K read. This is mainly due to the Raptor's seek times. Because the seek time is short, the Raptor was able to find and retrieve the information faster than the Samsung. In all of the categories, you'll also notice that the Samsung hard drive has greater variation as you go up in test size from 50 MB to 1000 MB than the Raptor. This fact means that the Raptor delivers more rock-solid performance than the Samsung does.
