The specs are great for the most part. For some reason, the drive is continuously showing up as reading at 8x when it is supposed to read at 12x. Several programs such as Nero's DriveSpeed were used to try to get the drive to go to 12x to no avail, regardless of the media used. Firmware updates were not available from Lite-On's website for this particular drive. This is not just a misinterpretation, the benchmarks will show that the drive does not get above 8x.
