Test Setup

Just like in the JetFlash review we will be taking a look at the performance of the key on a mobile setup and a desktop setup scenario.

DESKTOP:

- CPU: Intel Core 2 X6800 (@ 2.96Ghz)

- RAM: 1Gb Corsair 8000UL

- MOBO: Intel D975XBX (975 Chipset)

- HD: 1xMaxtor Maxline III 250Gb (16Mb Cache)

- OS: Windows XP Service Pack II (Clean Installed)

MOBILE

- Dell Inspiron 8600

- CPU: Intel Pentium M 755 (2.0Ghz)

- RAM: 2x512MB PC2700 Infineon

- MOBO: Dell 0Y4572 (i855PM Chipset)

- HD: Seagate 7200RPM 80Gb

- OS: Windows XP Service Pack II (Clean Installed)

Testing Tools

We've gathered a bunch of tools to test the USB Drive on.

- SiSoft Sandra 2007 SR-1

- HDTach v3.0

- HDTune v2.x

We'll be running the tests on both the desktop and the mobile system with default settings to see how much of a performance difference will show.
