3DMark 2003 has received lots of bad press for being improperly coded. The complaints made against it seem to be legitimate. However, it is one of the more advanced DirectX9 benchmarks available. We provide it here, noting that some doubt may be warranted.

The 9600PRO doesn't appear to scale as poorly on this test as it did on the others. Nevertheless, it does appear to agree with the previous benchmarks we have seen today.


Reviewers have continued to see the FX series of cards perform particularly poorly on the Comanche 4 test, though it is not entirely clear why. That trend continues to be quite explicit here.
