Inno3D Geforce FX 5700 Ultra

Review by Jason Jacobs on 2/13/04
Video Card Provided by Inno3D

Conclusions

Any gamer on a budget should consider the 5700 Ultra as a serious option when selecting a video card. Respectable frame rates, good gameplay, and clear image quality are among the benefits. If you are unwilling or unable to drop $400 to $500 on a high end graphics card Nvidia makes an excellent line of budget video cards with good performance, of which the 5700 ultra is current the best in terms of price for performance.

Pros:
Low Price
Good Image Quality
Great Bundled software and hardware
Good 3D Mark 03 Performance
Nice looking card

Cons:

Poor Lighting effects
Average to Poor Heatsink interface (easily modified)

As an overall good performer with a good bundle Techwarelabs reccommends this product as a viable video card that will produce results in both games and everyday use. With 128MB of DDRII it has enough memory to cache textures for most any game and should not become outdated too soon. Market and performance changes happening as quickly as they do, this card still remains an option for the consumer that realizes it is not a high end video card, but a budget performance alternative.
