Conclusions:

We tested the motherboard using a 21" Samsung Syncmaster LCD display at both 1024 x 768 and 1600 x 1200 resolutions and found that this small m-ATX motherboard was able to handle all regular desktop system type applications without a problem. During our benchmark and game title testing we were met with a little resistance which we attribute to having run the tests using an nVidia 7900 GS graphics card, that even though it helped us by allowing us to run the benchmarks, we feel this system is best suited to being run with an extra compatible ATI DX10 graphics card for best results. We also felt that if we would have had a Phenom processor available for testing, rather than the 4850e processor from AMD that the results would have been much better as the Phenom processor takes advantage of the new 780G chipset. There might be more micro-ATX motherboards out on the market currently that either have more or less features than the Sapphire PURE 780G motherboard but we were very excited to find that this motherboard has all the right options that you would probably ever need. From the ability to run up to 8 Gb of DDR2 ram in its' four DIMM sockets, to the 8 channel HD audio system for your listening pleasure, to having the capability of running six SATA connections, and from its' on-board video this m-ATX motherboard is definately a worthy purchase. We would like to thank the people from Sapphire for providing the PURE 780G motherboard for this review.
