AMD Dual-Core FX 60

Unlocked Dual Core Action

Since the FX-60 is unlocked Techwarelabs decided to see just how high we could push the CPU. Our first attempt was jumping from 2.6 GHz to 2.9 Ghz, remember that’s a 300 MHz jump over stock and we didn’t even touch the CPU voltage.

Our progress can be seen in the following pictures:

The system is currently stable at 3.2 GHz and will post into windows at 3.4 GHz but not stable. At 3.2 GHz we are able to use the stock heat sink included with the FX-60 at a mild 35C. This is an amazing 600 MHz over stock with very little tweaking to get there. The FX-60 simply has amazing over-clocking potential!
