Updating Your System

Included with Ubuntu is a software named “update manager”, this is very similar to windows “windows update”, it allows users to get important security updates and even software upgrades.

1. Open Synaptic Update Manager

2. Click ‘Check’

3. You will be prompted to enter the administrator password

4. If there are any available updates then you want to press ‘Install Updates’.  If you have followed this guide step by step, then there should be around 95 updates available.
