Default Time?

Is any one elses time off ? I look at the time on the entry forum index page and it is exactily one hour off. Ive set the proper time zone in my profile but its still off ( i can easily adjust it to read the correct time by just using the wrong time zone) i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

PHPBB does not compensate for daylight savings time. Just set your time zone one hour behind

I don't believe that is what he was talking about though. What you mentioned was relating to the whole time being way off which was a result of the time zone changing when we changed board types. What he is talking about, is that his time zone doesn't work for him, which yours should once you reset it to synchronize to the time zone of the boards.

He was referring to the forum time and his time zone being ONE hour different. He didn't say if it was plus or minus. What I was referring to in both my responces is this statement on the this forum:
-------------
All times are GMT + 1 Hour
-------------
Now just what does that mean ? It depends on what " Plus " means.
Here in Tallahassee Fl- the EST - now on DST , we are 4 hours behind - that is MINUS - GMT-4 = our current time. Normally Windows adjust the ONE hour auto when it changes, therefore I see no need whatsoever to have the + 1 hour adjusted on this forum.
Take the + 1 hour off and leave it at GMT, then each person will already have their machines set to the time zone they are in.
Why would it be + ( plus anyway ? ) Here in the EST zone, we are always either GMT-5 or GMT-4. Which simply means that when the sun has it's PM at Greenwich, it will be either 4 or 5 hours ( EST/DST) before we have the PM here. Based on that principle we are either -4 or -5 behind GMT.
And I'm not sure what you are referring to.
