On YaBB they restricted the maximum avatar size (to 65x65, I think). It would simply resize any image to fit within those constraints. Apparently the limit is either higher, or simply not set on these boards (and your image has always been larger than 65x65, I'd assume).

YaBB limited the size to the size of the buddy icons of AIM. the limit on these boards are that it can't be more than a certain file size i think

save it, resize it, and upload it. err you know how, or have the software to resize animated gifs?

Bear, your avatar size is showing to be: 120X120 pixils, probally the original size and the other board reduced it.
CoffeeCup has a free Gif Animator software that I use to make and resize animated gifs. It should be available on their site, if not I can send you a copy.
