Don't you get the same effect if you shot your head with an X-Ray Machine?

No, I don't think so. It appears to be a wearable display alternative to TVs or Monitors or LCDs. It would interface with whatever you had it plugged in to, and then just display that. It seems pretty cool...but pretty nerdy.
