Default uninstalled zone alarm and browser (IE 6.0) stops working.

Can anyone help me. I uninstalled zone alarm and my browser stopped working. I uninstalled and reinstalled IE6.0....No change. I've checked for the registry entries and deleted all the files and folders Zone alarm suggested on their site. Any help appreciated.

I would suggest checking your connection settings for Internet Explorer. I think ZoneAlarm might set it up to use a proxy (at localhost:xxxx), in order to effectively filter the content, or something.

Tools -> Internet Options -> Connection -> Lan Settings, iirc.
