Default Mandrake help

If Mandrake is supposed to be a option for newbies, then why can't I figure anything out with it??? I havn't been able to install any packages or programs or anything. I get gtk errors, GPG signatures missing and all other sorts of problems. I see to install gtk-devel , but that will not load. Is there any help for this?

For newbies, mandrake is more handy dandy.

Ok, as a linux newbie myself, I'm going to throw my vote in for Mandrake. I tried Debian last Saturday night. I started working on it at 12:30 AM, and finished up getting KDE installed at 6:40 AM. This was a very frustrating process, to say the least.

I then formatted my Debian install, and installed Mandrake. This took about an hour, and it wasn't the least bit frustrating (except when I thought about all the time I'd wasted on Debian).

Long story short:

Use Mandrake rather than Debian for linux newbs.
