Default ICQ

Well, for the longest time (nearly the entire summer, if I recall correctly) there were no new ICQ releases at all (build 3281).  Then a month or two ago they started releasing like crazy.  What do you guys think about the new ICQ versions?

Also, this was brought to mind by the fact that there's a new ICQ version out: ICQ 2001b Beta v5.16 Build #3640, Released Sunday, November 8th.

I'm compulsive about updating stuff, so I always get the new versions, but I'm still angry about the ads in ICQ now.

want to get rid of those ads? actually I'm not sure if it'll work for 2001b, but it works for 2000b. download icqplus

http://www.icqplus.org

when it's loaded thier will be nothing displayed in the adspace. Another advantage is it lets you skin icq. thiers alot of skin sites on the icqplus homesite

I just checked out ICQPlus v3.1 and I have to say that it is pretty nice.  This current version supports Win XP and also the lastest build of ICQ2001b.  I just downloaded it and tested it out and I did not see any problems with.  On top of that, the advertisements go away as well.  Thanks for the tip!

Use trillian...I my opinion it is much better because you do not have to have msn, aim, yahoo, and icq open at the same time.  You are able to combine them all in one.  Plus, there are even more features than each individual program provides.

get it at http://www.trillian.cc
