Personally I'm always "Out of my mind, Be back Soon" (though that's a fairly common pharse. When I'm at work I use "Tending the the great unwashed masses."

Lol, I like vee_ess's idea.
Personally I try to be fairly specific, and possibly humorous for whatever I'm doing. When I look at someone's away message, and it just says, "I'm away from my computer" I think, "Gee, thanks for all the help...like I couldn't have figured that out..." A few of mine include:
I'll be right back...just don't hold me to that.
I'm either leaving to go to or from work...you're probably smart enough to figure out which.
I'm playing. Don't disturb me...I'm already disturbed enough.
I set this message with then intent of going to bed. Unfortunately, I probably didn't go to bed for at least 30 minutes after I set this. Additionally, if you're reading this on a week-day, after about 6:50, I'm probably not sleeping any more, but rather at school, work, or doing stuff with friends. Wow, what a long message just to say I'm not here.
For a period of time I had something to the effect of "I'm not here right now...or *am* I???" on IRC I have "Sleep...so that's what's been missing in my life all these years," "Muuuuh. That's the sound I'm making because I'm so incredibly tired, and need to go to sleep," and "Damn school, and work, and social activities..." among others.
I'd suggest just figuring out something of your own that's descriptive, and humorous.

Well this is one that I tend to use alot of the time: I'm lost. I've gone to look for myself, so if I get back before I return, please ask me to wait... and if I get back after I return, please tell me I'm already there.
Anyone have any good sites?
