A Closer Look: The Internal

Like every case when you get inside of it there are usually some accessories that come with it. Most likely a power cord for the power supply, box of screws, and manual. This case was typical and came with all of that. Also was all the wiring for the HD LED, power switch, reset switch, etc.. but since this case has two extra USB ports, a line in, and a head jack on the side of the case there are a few extra connectors and wiring. You don't have to worry about figuring out where they all go because there is a diagram located in the box of the screws telling you where all the pins go.

In order to remove the front bezel all you have to do is supposedly grab the bottom of it and pull forward. It is a little harder than that because the plastic pins that hold the bezel in place did require me to squeeze then a touch and then pull forward. It takes some time and force but it does comes off. Once the bezel is removed you will notice the two 80mm blowholes in which I was speaking of earlier.

What I like to see every case have is a removable motherboard tray. Unfortunately this case does not have one. Well it has a removable tray but it is very limited. There is a tray in which can be removed and have the motherboard installed on it and put back into the case. However you cannot put in any expansion cards like video and sound while the tray is out because the try will not fit in any more. Also to be able to remove this tray you have to take off the right side panel which is kind of inconvenient.

After closer inspection of the internal parts of the Blizzard 900 I noticed that any steel sharp edges were folded to prevent the user from getting injured while working on the inside of the case. Many cases I have seen have sharp edges covered by a thick plastic lining which sometimes easily can get knocked off if your doing some hard work inside of your case. :) You don't have to worry about that with this case since the edges are folded over and not just covered by a plastic lining.
