Samsung LTM1575W 15" TFT-LCD Display
Review by Paul Machado on July 2, 2002

Product Supplied By: Samsung Canada
Retail Price: $2,499.99CDN

The Remote:

The remote itself is quite a nice feature that comes with the product since it has all of the capabilities needed to not have to get off your Lazy-boy recliner. All of the TV and monitor functions can be accessed through the remote and quite easily. The remote is  about the size of the average persons hand and is surprisingly light. Samsung decided to use AAA batteries instead of AA since they are lighter and this remote does not consume much power out of them at all.

The Menus:

With such a versatile product there are plenty of options to play with in the Menus. The menus are broken down into the following categories:

Picture: Allows you to adjust the picture mode, color, brightness, contrast, sharpness, tint and choose from various color tones.

▫Picture Modes: Standard, Movie, Dynamic, and Custom.
▫Color Tones: Normal, warm, and cool.

Sound: Allows you to adjust the sound mode, equalizer, enable/disable Virtual Dolby, enable/disable Auto Volume, and play around with many other settings.

▫Sound Modes: Standard, Movie, Music, Speech, Custom.

Channel: Allows you to choose to source input (ANT/CATV), choose video mode, fine tune channels, and auto program.

Function: Allows you to change the Menu language, time, PIP source, caption mode and various other settings.
