Razer Boomslang Collector's Edition 2007 Gaming Mouse

The Mouse:

With both the original Boomslang™ and the new Boomslang™ 2007 out of their packaging, you can see how similar the mice are in appearances. The shape and feel of both mice are nearly identical, with the 2007 Boomslang™ mouse sporting a lighter-thinner USB cable and gold USB connector for enhanced freedom and reliability. Where the original Boomslang™ had a see-thru body with an LED to bathe the interior in a green glow, the Boomslang™ 2007 features a green LED glowing scroll-wheel and Green LED "glow-ring" on the underside that bathes the surface the mouse rests on in a green glow.

The body of the 2007 Boomslang™ mouse is made of titanium and high-strength plastics. The Razer™ logo is beautifully etched onto the top surface of the mouse where your palm rests on the titanium. This titanium adds a nice high-class feel to this latest offering from Razer™ and the scroll wheel is made from a translucent rubberized material that features a row of notches for greater feel (similar to the original mouse) and embedded in a piece of titanium centered between the very large surface mouse buttons. The thinner-lighter yet stronger USB cord adds to the functionality of the younger Boomslang™ 2007 as it permits very slight and light wrist action without being affected by the stiction and friction of the heavier, rubberized original Boomslang™ USB cord. At the end of the USB cord you find a gold plated USB connector which enhances electrical conductivity between the mouse and its' power and interface plug.

The mouse is like the classic Boomslang™ mouse. It is ambidextrous in design for both left and right hand gamers, with long main mouse buttons for easy clicking, and a round palm-rest section that is surrounded by the rubberized edge of the mouse body. Five buttons are located on the mouse (two main buttons, two secondary buttons with one on the left and right side, and the scroll-wheel depression button) all of which are precisely sensitive and can be clicked repeatedly with light pressure, but are not overly sensitive so don't worry about accidentally clicking a button. The five buttons are customizable via the programming interface software provided on the CD; and keyboard macros can be easily assigned using the gui interface and sensitivity changed on-the-fly. Through the software you can turn the green LED lighting on or off to your liking and gaming environment, as well as make changes to the feel of the movement like separate sensitivity settings for the X and Y axes, adjustable mouse acceleration and scroll wheel speed. The 1800 dpi sensitivity will work perfectly for those gamers that prefer larger-radius hand movements when playing as well, increasing your accuracy by using a large mouse pad. The Razer Boomslang™ CE also comes with Teflon feet for the ultimate sensation when it comes to ease of movement, and Razer™ even includes an extra set of these teflon feet for future changing should these wear out from the intense gaming.
