Fanatec Porsche 911 Racing Wheel

Software Setup:

The software and drivers are included on the 1GB USB Porsche Key, but we recommend checking the Fanatec web site for up to date drivers, software, guides and instruction manuals. The software updater must be run first, then the next screen will begin downloading of the latest drivers from Fanatec's very fast server, from there the installation of the drivers and software went off without any issues and was really straight-forward.

First you need to install the drivers before you plug in the Wireless USB Dongle (the USB Porsche key with the two LED's) that also has a button on the backside. During the installation process you will then be asked to introduce the Wireless USB Dongle shown below. The wheel will automatically connect with the dongle. When the white LED shines permanently on the dongle, the binding (wireless connection) was successful. If you press the fuel pedal, you will notice the red LED on the dongle illuminate to let you know the pedals binding to the dongle was successful.

Next thing you will want to do is to check for updates again, and install them if there are any available. Then go into your PC's control panel, game controller, properties screen which is where you will find the software interface for calibrating and adjusting your Porsche 911 Turbo Wheel controller. There are three tabs for the software interface, "Function Test", "Settings" and "Update", for setting up your controller.

When we first connect the wheel to the computer, we noticed during the binding process that the wheels buttons are backlit and reveal both the PC and Playstation backlit functions. Below are two sets of images with the left side images showing the backlit lights for the PC mode and the right side images for the Playstation mode of the system.
