Testing
Sound:
The test equipment used was PlayStation 3 and a Classic 6th generation iPod.
While testing on PlayStation 3 with the Game Bag 2.1 speaker volume set all the way up as well as bass, the sound wasn't anything overwhelming. I was surprised by how nice and clear the output of music was. After adjusting the volume to balance the front and back fade the 360 sound came to life. It was a pretty good experience and for casual gamers the volume level was suitable. Once again I was surprised that the sub woofer was pretty powerful for its size. While the sub woofer clearly made the difference it was hardly a "deep, rumbling bass". It does not generate any kicking or even rumbling but it does provide the Game Bag 2.1 with lower frequency sounds and add to the overall experience. Testing on the iPod yielded virtually the same results. The bag can be used as external speakers and substitute iPod station speakers. Obviously the lack of features that iPod stations provide might be the deal breaker in that respect.
Comfort:
This, unfortunately, was the biggest issue. In a word the Game Bag 2.1 is tiny. Granted, I am a person of above average frame but I cannot see anyone being relaxed and comfortable in the Game Bag 2.1 who is anything above 5'7 in height and over 150lbs. This gaming bag is definitely directed towards a younger user. For children it can easily fit any anyone from the age of 7 to around 13. For this target audience the Pyramat Game Bag 2.1 might be a perfect fit in terms of features, use, and price.
Conclusion:
Game Bag 2.1 in the box was not the game bag pictured on the box or on the official website and was a major disappointment in terms of marketing expectations. That's something no one wants to come across for obvious reasons especially when the product inside is even in the slightest inferior (pocket size/placing) to the one advertised. Size is also an issue for anyone in the upper teens or older. It's not advertised for children but a picture of a child in the game bag should come as a huge hint. The sound quality is adequate for the price and target consumer. It isn't anything spectacular but considering the size of the bag it will be perfect for a children's play room, game room, or as living room entertainment.
