PQI Turbo 4GB DDR3-1600 kit - Immortality Edition
Benchmarking 1600MHz:
Once we set our BIOS to have the PQI RAM run at 1600MHz, we realized it wouldn't boot! This is strange since our motherboard is rated to run DDR3 up to 1600MHz. It is capable of running RAM overclocked up to 2000MHz, but it wouldn't run at 1550MHz? Not good...

CPU-Z Memory @ 1550MHz |
We see from the image on the left that the RAM is running at 775.8MHz, so 775.8 x 2 = 1551.6MHz. We also see that our timings are 9-11-11-28. This does not correspond to our 8-8-8-24 as seen a few pages back, but I'm unsure whether or not they could be tweaked to match.
Memtach v0.93 Alpha:

The Memtach benchmark took 27.46 seconds to run at 1550MHz. This is compared to the same test at 1375MHz, which took 27.34 seconds. As you can see from the picture above, the following results were extracted:

This agrees with our expected conditions, which shows that faster frequencies produce faster test speeds.
Performance Test 6.1:

Performance Test 6.1 shows us that the PQI DDR3-1600 RAM running at 1550MHz gives us 882.8 operations per second, the Memory Mark result shows an average of 669.4, and a PassMark rating of 120.5. We saw earlier that
the PQI DDR3-1600 RAM running at 1375MHz gives us 888.2 operations per second, the Memory Mark result shows an average of 668.5, and a PassMark rating of 120.3.
RightMark Multi-Threaded Memory Test:

The RightMark test was run on the RAM at 1600MHz giving us 4 minutes, 0 seconds. This compares to the previous run at 1375MHz giving us 4 minutes, 02 seconds.

Cache and Memory |
Memory Bandwidth |
Memory Latency |
During the Cache and Memory test, the PQI Turbo Immortality Edition 4GB DDR3-1600 kit registered 36.406 GB/sec. This did not rank well with our SiSoft test, as it is essentially based on the RAM timings against DDR2 RAM with lower timings. The previous test at 1375MHz ranked 35.828GB/sec.
The same rule applies to the Memory Bandwidth test. The tighter the RAM timings, the better the results. Our tests show the memory bandwidth for the DDR3-1600 RAM at 1550MHz were 5813MB/sec for Int buffered iSSE2, and 5790MB/sec for Float buffered iSSE2. This compares to 1375MHz at 5776MB/sec for Int buffered iSSE2, and 5769MB/sec for Float buffered iSSE2.
Finally, our Memory Latency test for 1600MHz shows 78ns, ranking #1 against the other Processor/Chipset combos. This compares to 78ns for 1375MHz.
