Packaging
The eStarling ImpactV comes neatly packaged in a racy black box. The blue text makes the product look really streamlined and classy, and we can't argue with that. All of the main features are also explained on the front of the box, which is important for the consumer to see at a quick glance. The packaging reflects the value of the frame - it is truly quite classy. After opening the box, we are greeted with a thick amount of styrofoam, which is supposed to keep the frame from being scratched. After removing the styrofoam, we see that the space in the box is much larger than the frame itself, and I can't say it is seated firmly. The frame seems to be able to move around a good bit in the box.

Styrofoam padding |
After we unpack the device, we see the photo frame wrapped in a protective styrofoam sleeve, as well as a quick set-up guide, and a box containing the AC adapter. After seeing the additional foam sleeve, I'm pretty sure the frame was secure in the case. The AC adapter is even protected in its own box.

A Closer Look
The frame is sleek looking, but there are definitely fine scratches on the surface. The touch-screen "buttons" are a cool cobalt blue, and are VERY bright (which I personally like). The frame doesn't seem to be too heavy, and truly does look like an expensive frame. Its contemporary look offers a nice addition to any room of the house, and definitely doesn't look like any cheaper substitutes on the market today.

On the top of the frame, we see the USB port cover, as well as the SD/MS/MMC port cover. The USB won't be needed though, since this frame is wireless. The manual actually states the only use of the USB port is for firmware updates in case the frame crashes and needs to be restored. We also see that the remote locks into the stand part, and is not easy to lose. eStarling even includes a battery in the remote! We can also see the speakers located on the back of the frame. The actual speaker size is cleverly disguised bu the "venting" on the back. These speakers DO pack a punch though.

Locked in remote |
The remote is easily removed, and can be locked in whenever it is not in use. The charger (strangely) comes in two pieces, and are easy to lock together. There is also a USB cable provided. This is only used if you need to alter your frame in some way later in the future (they don't really say what it's for, other than "USB Cable Spare Part: Only used for formatting your frame possibly in the future" on the bag).
