Itami FiTrainer

Author:  Thomas "Erik" Engelhardt
Date:  2009.03.04
Topic:  Miscellaneous
Provider:  Itami
Manufacturer:  Itami

Packaging:

The FiTrainer comes in a very simple, sleek black box. The box simply shows off the name of the product "FiTrainer" and a very small Itami logo at the bottom. Of course the "i" in FiTrainer is represented by a little running stick figure in a very bold red. All other sides of the packaging though remain blank.

A Closer Look:

The very neatly packaged FiTrainer also comes with a stereo instruction manual, quick start guide, stereo mini-plug, a typical little black travel baggy, and of course the main headphones. The instruction manual gives a product overview, a how-to on reading the LCD screen, a headset overview, how to operate the FiTrainer's settings and controls, how to use the different exercise modes and even a small nutrition guide.

The headphones of the FiTrainer come with a mounted heart rate sensor that is meant to be clipped to your earlobe while in use. There however is no stereo sound; only one side, specifically, the right part is equipped with a speaker that gives you the rhythm and the super-awesome one liners to help keep you motivated (and if you wish some built in background music). The built in LCD displays your age, the rhythm, background music (bgm), a low battery, and what current exercise mode you are using. Around the LCD on the right headphone is the selection button, decision button, start and pause button, and a volume adjustment dial.
