Sager 8790 Benchmarks

We tested the 8790 using real world performance in games and applications:

In Joint Operations Typhoon Rising:

As you can see from the settings and screen shot, the 8790 produces beautiful visuals at very playable settings. At 1280x1024 with all setting on high and AA set to 6x, the game only exhibits the slightest bit of lag. Reducing the resolution to 1024x768 cures that.

In Quake 3 Arena:

The Quake 3 engine while older is still used in many games today. The 8790 managed to play Quake 3 quite well at 215fps in demo four. Version 1.32

What does this all mean to you? The Sager 8790 is a VERY capable machine for business applications and the gaming arena. The configuration of the 8790, as we received it, is a powerhouse machine. With 2GB of PC3200 and a 7,200 RPM hard drive, folder/file listings, documents, and applications all load with the blink of an eye.
