Close look at the MSI Wind

The MSI Wind was handed to me still in its box, so the photos taken below showing the packaging were taken by Dan Shannon as I un box my MSI Wind. Thanks Dan for the great shots!

The front of the box color and design portrays the clean and simplicity of what is inside TWL was able to get the U100-422CA model. There are a lot of U100s to choose from, so be sure to check out MSI's web site for the one that fits you the best.

This side of the box shows what country's in Europe WLAN is supported Now, lets crack the box open and take a look at what is inside.

The MSI Wind was wrapped in a plastic bag and set into a securely fitted box which was "enough" support for shipping purposes. There could be a little more on this side for shock purposes. The rest of the contents shown below were also secured in its own locations to help prevent contents from shifting around.

Keep in mind netbooks do not come with a DVD ROM built in, so if one ever needs to reload their netbook, a USB DVD ROM will need to be acquired. Now, there are some of you out there who may have other ways of reloading your machines, such as Windows deployment services or possibly Symantec Ghost. Just be aware of how you plan on reloading your Wind when the time comes that a Virus, or dead hard drive renders the operating system useless and a reload of the OS is the only option. The packaging of the MSI Wind was fair as my MSI Wind arrived without signs of damage. There is some areas where the packaging of the Wind could have been improved, but all in all MSI did a good job.
