Michael Lynch and I shown above punching up some notes during TWL's weekly meeting. Michael using his 17" HP laptop and me using the MSI Wind.

The night my MSI Wind was handed over to me was during TWL's weekly team meeting. The photos taken below were taken during this meeting to show the comparison of the MSI Wind to other notebooks at this meeting.

Here the MSI Wind is sitting next to a 17" HP laptop. Quite a size difference! Sitting the MSI Wind on the keyboard of the 17" laptop shows how much smaller MSI Wind is.

The photos above show the major differences is the size scale of the MSI Wind as compared to the HP laptop with its 17" screen and full keyboard. Showing this, my first thoughts were of "It must be very difficult to type on the small keyboard with both hands." I was actually pleasantly surprised that in-fact I could and I didn't struggle either. This was a bit of a surprise as I personally swear by ergonomic keyboards.

Michael's hand arrangement on a 17" HP laptop My hand arrangement on the MSI Wind. Surprisingly comfortable.

Now of course anyone could make remarks that they would rather have a full blown laptop over a netbook for the larger screen and internal optical drive to watch movies with, but a netbook isn't designed with those features in mind. I presently have a workstation at my desk at work and a literally keep the processors pegged and I run dual screens too, but when I run off to a meeting or a business trip, I would rather be carrying a 2~3lbs netbook. I used to carry a 17" screen laptop when I was traveling a lot for my job and I was so happy I had it at first, but after running between gates at some of the the large airports, I told myself never again will I ask for a large screen laptop if it weighed this much! Now if it is a big screen you want because you will be working on a document for several hours, the MSI Wind does have a 15pin port to allow you to plug in your workstation monitor.
