Aerocool Modern V Display

Introduction

The Modern V by Aerocool is a stylish front panel for your computer that helps you see the temperature of up to 4 places in your computer and control up to 4 fans.  The display comes with a backlit LCD that allows you to easily see the output of it even in a dark room.  The Aerocool Modern V is a perfect compliment to any high performance computer.

Notice in the above pictures the large LCD screen and the small profile of the panel. It may take up 2 bays, but it makes up for that by being very short allowing a lot of cables to be stuffed into those bays, helping with cable routing. When you first unpack all of the cables for this thing you may be slightly overwhelmed, but it’s actually very easy to hook up and won’t impact your cable routing too much.

Installation

To install the Modern V you simply slide it into 2 bays and connect it to your power supply. After that you hook up to 4 fans and the 4 probes up. In the pictures below ignore the messy wiring, this was before cable routing.

The probes, shown above up close, come with some tape that you use to adhere it onto parts of your case. I chose 4 important spots:

Here is a picture of my case with the probes installed, they are hard to see so I circled them.
