LITE-ON BLU-RAY DISC PLAYER

Packaging:

The Lite-On Blu-ray Disc Reader, or BD-ROM came to us in a stylish and attractive Black, Blue and White box that distinctly shows the attractive contents to be found inside as well as have the specifications for the unit on the outside. The art department has really done some very nice work here and I couldn't imagine seeing a more attractive method of drawing someone's attention to this product.

Unpacking the contents of the box, we find the BD-ROM very well protected as it is first enclosed in plastic and surrounded by an open-cell foam cage to protect it from any impacts and vibrations during shipping, no doubt to adequately protect the precious blue-laser inside the unit. We then unpack the accessories that come inside and find that the retail pack comes with a very well written 16-page User Manual, a Quick-Installation Guide that shows you how to quickly get the BD-ROM up and running in 5 easy steps, the AC power adapter that has the prongs perpendicular to the size of the device allowing it to not take over more than one outlet, the USB 2.0 A/B connector cord, and the latest Cyberlink Power DVD software for playback of Blu-ray disc media, DVD, and CD multi-media content. The BD-ROM also comes with a clear acrylic base that supports the BD-ROM vertically on the desktop. This clear base was smartly designed with four anti-vibration pads or feet and a raised spine molded into the base that securely mates to the BD-ROMs recess on the side so-as to securely hold the BD-ROM from sliding out of it at anything but severe angles.
