Closer Look

The LG Glimmer is a beautiful phone, there is no denying that, all the way down to the box.  They sent it in a nice looking box and once you open the box you’ll continue to be impressed.

The packaging

The first thing I noticed is how sturdy the phone feels, it’s not heavy, but it doesn’t feel like a drop or two will really affect it (they won’t trust me).  The outer casing is made of smooth metal and has a nice feel to it.  The screen is large and the buttons remind me exactly of the buttons Motorola uses. The screen has a nice smooth sliding mechanism, it tries to avoid all the middle positions and instead prefers either up or down.  The keypad seems to seal well with the sliding cover and thus should prevent incidental splash damage.  I’m not saying spill your drink on this phone, but it sure seems like it can take the rain well.

Accessories

Next to the RAZR I think you can get a good idea of this phone’s size.  It’s pretty compact, but not much thicker than the RAZR so it fits nicely in your pocket.

These photos don’t do the LG Glimmer justice; if you want a really up close look they typically have demo versions at Alltel stores.  Check for one near you.
