3D Mark

Although this application test is much more reliant on the video card used, the test does fluctuate with the bandwidth and computational power of the CPU. It should be mentioned that 3DMark05 is not by default multi-threaded and thus will not take full advantage of the second core available to it by either the FX-60 or the Intel processors.

3D Gaming Benchmarks

Like 3DMark05 these benchmarks are much more limited by the video card used but are affected by the power of the CPU.

As you can see it’s not really a competition in any of the tests. The FX-60 wins by a landfall in the gaming benchmarks, 3DMark05, and Crystal Mark benchmarks. In office applications it’s very close but AMD does win in each test. In the office productivity tests scores this close are nearly insignificant to the average user.
