CRU DataPort has designed and developed an excellent product with the DataPort 25. The carrier containing two hard drives with built in RAID is something to marvel. Also with RAID, the consumer can choose between speed or redundancy at a flip of a few small switches. Though it is more likely consumers will choose redundancy of their data over speed. Consumers who are looking for a device such as the Data Port 25 are looking for redundancy due to value of the data they have chosen to store on the Data Port 25 drive. One draw back is the price of the Data Port 25 being $125 and that is for one docking station. If you are planning on using the Data Port 25 as your means to backing up your data, nightly, then this maybe all you need. If you plan on taking the carrier to another PC, the user will need to purchase a second docking station. Then again, the consumer who is spending the money on the Data Port 25 in the first place has to obtain two 2.5” SATA drives which more than likely mean they have the money to spare to purchase a second or third docking station.
