Conclusion:
The ARAID 2200-GP is a device that all users who save their data on the PC without backing it up to DVD or other media and often should consider. If you would take a moment in think of all the times you lost data due to a bad floppy disk, or a dropped thumb drive, or maybe a family member got on the computer and decided to "clean house." The ARAID 2200-GP won't prevent the latter from happening, but it will does give the user the ability to afford the failure of one of the two drives and keep all their data and operating system. It is a small price to pay in our opinion for a little bit of insurance. We would like to thank Accordance Systems for sending us the ARAID 2200-GP to review. Although we didn't cover the software that comes with the product as it doesn't support Microsoft Vista we suspect that support is being developed as we speak. It is worth noting that the device functions at 100% without the software. I look forward to when accordance systems release the monitoring software for Vista but in the meantime, the ARAID 2200-GP has a built in alarm (with alarm shut-off button) to bring your attention to any issues it may have with the the installed drives such as our Hitachi Deskstar hard drives. I personally will be purchasing one or two for my family alone. We are happy to award this product the Editor's choice award as a product every business and consumer should have.
