Conclusion:
We found this product to offer an ideal combination of performance, features, weight, and size for its intended use and cannot truly think of a mobile professional who wouldn't find it useful. Working with servers as we often do I think it is also noteworthy to point out that this device can save IT techs and staff a lot of time and headache through the portability and true plug and play operation of the drive. Many 1U servers and storage servers do not come equipped with an optical device and it is a frequent occurance to have the need for an optical drive. The alternative becomes usng another PC's drive to either copy the content to the server or share the drive over the network which results in a painfully slow install or access of the data needed. At as low as $94 this drive is a cheap investment for a portable and fast DVD+/-RW drive that will find uses in many different settings.
