Read Test 3 - scratched, pressed CD
Plextor PX-W4012A
Teac CD-W540E
Lite-On LTR-40125W
The Plextor is the most consistent drive in this line upf ro reading scuffed CDs. The Lite-On ends with a higher overall read speed, but has some trouble about midway through the CD. Conversely, the Teac cannot even finish reading the CD. If you do not handle your cds with much care (this CD was taken from the floor of a friends car), it would be wise to avoid the Teac.
