Hybrid CrossFireX versus ATI's CrossFireX:
So what is this we hear about Hybrid CrossFireX? Well in essence ATI's CrossFireX enables the use a two or more graphic processors to work in conjunction to improve the system performance within both Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. The ATI Hybrid CrossFireX solution refers to the ability to use a second graphics processor along with the integrated graphics processor located on the motherboard to work in conjunction with each other to enhance a systems performance soley in Windows Vista. As we mentioned earlier, the 780G chipset contains ATI's HD3200 graphics driver which comes with a built-in video graphics processor, but because this motherboard also incorporates the Hybrid CrossFireX solution, this allows you to add a CrossFireX compliant video card into the PCI-E slot and coupled with the on-board video processor, allows you to run CrossFireX with a single card added when using Windows Vista. This allows the consumer to have a CrossFireX solution at a very low cost, as long as you have a compliant video card and are running the Windows Vista operating system. Just make sure you check the compatibility charts from ATI to see which cards will work with your on-board 780G HD3200 graphics processor for Hybrid CrossFireX as they won't all work.
Installation CD:
The CD has everything you will need to get the motherboard up and running quickly, including the ATI drivers for the motherboard and video processor that is on-board as well as a 3 month trial install of Trend Micro's PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 software with firewall and anti-virus combined. If you search the CD you will find in addition some other optional software such as, WinFlash, My Guard, Pro Magic Plus and ImageIt, that you can install should you desire to.
