Benchmarking Continued:

TWL continued its testing running MEMTEST and Prime95 to exploit any CPU errors or instability at default speeds. After three hours running Prime 95 the FIC K8-800T had no errors and the CPU was only 105F. A full run of MEMTEST revealed no instability or memory errors either. TWL then moved on to Quake 3 to test the CPU and graphics cability when running on this board.

259.3 fps would make any gamer happy. In game fps at 1200x1600 with full AA and 32bit produced an average frame rate of 80. Its obvious that the FIC K8-800T would make a very respectable gaming machine.

3DMark Benchmark:
TWL decided to run the highly used and highly controversial 3Dmark01 and 3Dmark03 to give you an overall idea of the DX8 and DX9 performance that can be expected on this board.

The K8-800T returned results of 5817 in 3DMark03 and 18819 in 3Dmark01. While not the highest marks possible for an AMD 64 board, it translates into more than acceptable performance in most DX8 and DX9 games. Given the fact that Nvidia and ATI have just released their next gen cards, this board could well produce produce excellent performance when paired with either of these cards.
