Introduction
This week I had the pleasure of reviewing the Lumenata Pro by Sentey, a professional gaming mouse that goes above and beyond to deliver the satisfaction you paid for. I have never heard of Sentey, however upon checking their website I was astonished with all the great looking gamer gear they had and to top it all off they are based in my hometown of Miami, FL.
Sentey has delivered a phenomenal product with minor flaws that can be overlooked, perhaps the most enticing feature is that the price point allows it to compete with better established mice while staying at a relatively low price. If you are looking for a comfortable, customizable, good looking mouse that won’t put a dent in your wallet I recommend you keep reading!

Up Close and Packaging
The first thing you notice is the weight of the box and how nicely detailed the pictures are. The front has a beautiful close up of the mouse and the back has the mouse pictured in different angles so you know exactly what you are getting. I like this delivery more than having a mouse wrapped in plastic shielding with an open cover. Sentey’s approach is appreciated since it evokes a feeling of opening up something luxurious.
When you open the box you are greeted with a superbly manufactured and stylized black case with the Sentey logo on the front- no recyclable throwaways whatsoever! Inside is a handy carrying case that is advertised; it is of high quality and offers surprisingly good protection. Inside is the mouse itself, protected by a custom made cushion. Sentey added a great deal of bells and whistles to their packaging that makes unveiling the mouse an experience all in itself. Also included is a poster, VIP Registration card, driver disc, door hangar, and a tastefully printed user manual. I am very impressed with the presentation so far, any feeling of buyer’s remorse would be gone long you even plug in the mouse.
The Lumenata Pro does not stray far from traditional mouse design, Sentey understands this and applied the formula very well . Unfortunately to deliver a good design Sentey had to make this a right hand only mouse. I would classify this mouse as average, not too big but big enough to fit a wide variety of hand sizes.
The overall build quality is good but not amazing; you will feel that you are holding a quality product, but it is not something you would want to drop. The Lumenata Pro is a pleasure to use. The mouse wheel is quick and responsive, and the back and forward buttons are conveniently placed, causing myself to utilize them more than I do with other mice. The thumb rest is made of a high quality rubber, which is helpful during intense gaming. The rubber coating really allowed for better grip of the entire mouse. The DPI switch is located where your hand and thumb meet, the placement of the switch is questionable as moving my thumb so far back to hit the switch could lead to a slip up in a First Person Shooter. I also did not find the placement of the 2 right gaming buttons very good; my ring finger is too short to hit the top one and my middle finger has to be fully removed from the right click button to hit the top gaming button. I ended up using only the bottom gaming button for my sessions.
The shape is very similar to the Logitech G400 picture with the Lumenata Pro having deeper curves for more comfort and better grip. Both mice weigh about the same which made me question why customizable weights were not added. For me, the mouse would have hit a sweet spot if it was 10g heavier. However, with some research, I found out that Sentey reserved the customizable weight feature for the tier above the Lumenata Pro’s price point. I suppose you can’t blame them.
This mouse calls for attention…anybody near your battle station will feel enticed to take a closer look and awe at its beauty. The breathing LEDs are a nice touch for the mouse wheel and “Mode Button”. I, however, am having trouble adjusting to all the different colors found on the Mouse. As I type at this very moment the Lumenata Pro is displaying red, blue, and breathing green and unfortunately, only the green can be changed to red, blue, purple or aqua to indicate the different modes which I will get into when I talk about in the software section.
Software
For once, mouse software that isn’t filled with constant prompts to register the mouse or buy other products. Sentey has created software that simply works and does a darn good job at it. The installation is easy, you can either get it off the mini disc included in the package or you can go to Sentey’s website and download it from there. The small program is easy to install and hassle free, once installed you are greeted with the window pictured above, from there you can configure the mouse to your liking outlined below.
Button Function
In this option you can set macros and windows shortcuts to certain screens, you can also switch the 5 modes using the software instead of the mode button on the mouse. The amazing part is that each mode can store its own macros and key binds. To give an example I use the red mode (mode 1) as desktop mode with the top right gaming buttons as my volume up and volume down, green mode (mode 2) is used as edit mode for cut, copy, paste and finally the last 3 modes are reserved specifically for gaming.
Macro Management
You’ll have to play around with this setting to get a hang of it, the Macro Management setting allows you to create your own custom multi-key macros. If you know how you can get very creative and make some game breaking combinations. I specifically made a macro for Battlefield 4 that switches my weapon to the revive kit, charges up, revives the player I am aiming it at, and returns to main weapon at the click of one button.
DPI & Tool
This setting is pretty basic, here you can adjust the DPI to the 4 DPI setting available. That means you can go from 200 DPI to a max of 8200 DPI at the click DPI button on the mouse itself, of course you can program intermediate DPI settings in between. Polling rate can and scroll acceleration can also be adjusted, the preset setting were perfect for me so I did not have to mess around with this too much. The great deal of different configurations for a mouse is always welcome in my book.
Closing Thoughts
I really enjoyed my time with the Lumenata Pro, mice have come a long way and competition is fierce between mouse manufacturers. Fortunately, the Lumenata Pro stands tall among some of the best with a competitive MSRP of $79.99 ($34.99 deal currently on Amazon!). With the Lumenata Pro you will have every necessary feature available in high end mice with great looks to back it up. Sentey has delivered a high quality product that deserves recognition, the packaging was phenomenal and the mouse handles like a dream. My only quirks were the multitude of different color LEDs being displayed at once and the gaming button on the right of the mouse being uncomfortable to reach. Other than that I highly recommend this mouse and it is an absolute steal if you can get it for $34.99.
