Green vs Red:
There was a time as a kid that lasers were ultra cool. Everyone wanted one and they were hard to find. If you could find one it was definitely a red laser and probably a keychain laser or a laser pointer. Red lasers became common in the marketplace around the year 2000 when technology caught up with production and found a way to make them cheap. Anything other than a red laser was to be seen only in the movies and was squarely the stuff of science labs. Most lasers of any serious power were large, bulky, and required separate power units. Today the situation has definitely changed.
With the introduction of DPSS (diode pumped solid state frequency-doubled) green (and other types) lasers became affordable. Today we take a look at the SKYlasers Green 125mw Laser pointer which currently retails for $249.99 on their website SKYlasers.
So whats the difference between green and red. . . a whole new level of cool, take a look:
Cool? Yeah we think so too.

wow, I just like to use a green laser pointer for astronomy stargazing at night. I am quite enjoyed the time I am surrounded by lots of stars and constellations.
