3DMark Vantage
3DMark Vantage is another great benchmark for GPU testing with DirectX 10. Comparing our score of 5677 on the Performance setting to the Llano A8-3850 we see a 72.3% increase and a 20% increase when compared to the A8-3870K. A big note here also the the CPU increases are nominal when compared to the GPU increase (more prevalent in the a8-3850 performance). 3DMark doesn’t see a large difference in the Piledriver core upgrade.

3DMark 11
3DMark 11 represents our DirectX 11 testing. We see scores here of 2113 on the Entry preset and 1305 on the Performance preset. 3DMark 11 helps show that while the A10-5800K with the 7660D performs well for an integrated GPU.

Overclocking
Again we used the Overdrive Software though AMD to overclock our GPU from 800MHz to 1000MHz, a 25% overclock. Lets see if the results are more impressive than our CPU results.

3DMark Vantage: 6092 (7.3% increase)
3DMark 11: 1646 on Performance Preset (26.13 increase)
Our DirectX11 benchmark scores in 3DMark 11 depict what we expected from overclocking. A 25% overclock results in a 26% increase in performance. Sounds too good to be true but this type of performance jump will definitely translate into better gaming FPS.
So far this is the most promising release from AMD in the past couple years. I hope they are able to refocus and maintain.
