As you can see the results show a mixed bag between Windows Vista and Windows 7.  As for the 965 it shows itself to be excellent competition for the Q9550 pulling ahead entirely in two of the 4 benchmarks and taking the lead in 1/2 of the other two. There is no doubt that the Q9550 is an excellent processor but we need to consider the entire platform before making a decision.
