Performance and Benchmarks
It is crucial to understand that the Asus C200 is running an extremely power efficient processor. The Bay Trail-M Dual Processor is a low power SoC (System on a Chip) just released by Intel early 2014 targeting the need for low power consumption required by tablets and mobile devices. The Asus C200 is the first of its kind to adopt the 2.42GHz processor. How does the Asus C200 stack up against some other Chromebooks?
Not bad at all! The following are some of the benchmarks I ran, including Peackeeper, Octane, and WebXPRT.
In terms of battery life the Asus C200 really shines. I was not able to get comparisons against other Chromebooks but below are some of the times I recorded while testing out the C200. Note that these tests were all done at medium brightness.
