Here we will take a look at the build quality of the Vengence 1500 Gaming Headset. Initially taking the headset out of the packaging we are surprised with the weight of this headset (or lack thereof). This headset is extremely light which will have an impact in our comfort section. Don’t let the lack of weight fool you, it feels extremely solid: Hard plastic on the ear cups, the headband itself, and the microphone boom. The ear cups rotate allowing the headset to be hung or laid down nicely which is a great feature to avoid stress on the headset itself. The actual ear-cups are a light and airy cloth material with plenty of padding for extra comfort. This mixed with a light headset should translate into pure comfort. Overall the build quality here is excellent. However talk is cheap: We’ve been using this headset for almost a month now every day. The headset is still in great condition and I see no concerning points to mention (ie cloth tearing, plastic seperation, loose parts).

Sound quality is something often hard to describe and review, we used 7.1 sound clips (Music) and constant gaming situations in both FPS and MMORPG games. The simulated 7.1 makes for great “area” sound effects: It is easy to discern what is behind you from what is beside you. With these in mind I would easily put this headset up against any other headset out there and feel confident with the general opinion.
I really like the Corsair Vengeance 1500 I believe this is one of the best USB gaming headsets on the market. I love the comfort factor for long gaming sessions the braided cable it is at the top of my list for USB gaming headsets.
