First Look at NZXT’s Phantom

Exterior:

On the exterior this case has a lot to offer. For starters the design has a sleek flow that also masks several of the cooling elements contained within. While this case can support the full range of motherboards up to extended ATX, it doesn’t seem to be overly large. Attention is immediately drawn to the variable speed fan controller built into the top of the case. This is going to be one of the primary selling points for me. Some cases support an absurd number of fans but have no way to control the wind tunnel effect created by that many motors. This panel makes it easy to control the cooling horsepower on demand. No extra accessories needed.

Above you can also see the door covering the 5.25″ Bays, Its hard to tell from the photos but this door has the weight of craftsmanship.  I have seen a number of cases that have used a thin flimsy piece of plastic. The exterior of this case feels very solid and structured to last.

  1. How is the white case lit up, is that a special edition, the black version doesn’t seem as bright. I think a feature like that should be highlighted.

  2. GOoooooooooooo NZXT Phantom Case My Choice
