GlacialTech X-Wing Series Laptop/Notebook Cooler

Packaging:

The X-Wing Series R1 Notebook cooler’s box seems very typical, displaying the product on the front and the GlacialTech logo in the top left corner. The front of the box does however emphasize the Touch Panel that makes this laptop cooler so unique. The rear of the box generously displays the features and specs. A very nice, simple and uncluttered looking box for packaging. The rear part of the laptop cooler contains (3) UDB ports, (1) mini USB to power it up via USB on your laptop and (1) DC connector in case you wish to power the laptop cooler on its own. However, a DC adapter does not come with the X-Wing R1.

A Closer Look:

Unlike many other laptop coolers, instead of outright being wrapped in plastic the GlacialTech X-Wing R1 came wrapped in a very nice travel bag. Aesthetically, the X-Wing R1 is very pleasing to the eye. The touch panel has a very nice glossy look and seems very functional at a first glance. From the top the large internal blower fan can be seen. The bottom has large rubber stoppers to help keep it in a stationary position so it does not slide all over your desk.

The Touch Panel:

The touch panel itself is split into two separate parts. The first part on the far left of the touch panel has media keys. The middle of the actual touch panel has the function based keys. On the media portion there is a key to start a media player, forwards, play, stop, backwards, volume up and volume down. The middle portion keys are the essential function keys such as: power, fan speed display, temp display, a touch panel lock, and an auto fan speed key. The right side of the function has a nice LED display that shows either the RPM of the fan or the temperature of the notebook. The other display shows the 6 total fan speeds and which level you are currently on.
