Fit, Form, and Function
The Turbines come packed in a nice box padded in felt and with a small leather pouch, other than that they are accompanied by an assortment of ear adapters to meet your needs. I found the default ones best suited my ears and have been using them ever since. I think it is important to mention that the ear adapters that often wear out in the case of the ones included with the Shure E4G’s do not wear out in the case of the Turbines. The rubber/plastic adapters are very, very comfortable, isolate almost all outside noise, and fit excellent.
The Turbines are an excellent example of a company paying close attention to the market needs, doing their homework right, and coming out with a nearly perfect product. Nearly perfect I say because after months of use the only issue I have with my set of Turbines is the black chrome coating that gives them their Titanium attractive finish is getting chipped on the back edges. This is of course after nearly every day use and is on the most handled surface. The only other issue worth mentioning is that I personally would have liked for the cord to be a bit longer so I could use the Turbines with my desktop during gameplay without an extension cable.
Cost vs Performance
So to answer the question “Are they worth the $149 pricetag?” You bet they are, and if Monster releases an future pair of headphones I will make sure my name is on the waiting list ahead of time. So take your standard iPod headset, chuck it in the trash, and go plug some monster in your ears. As you can tell I love my Monster Turbines and wouldn’t think of listening to any music, watching a movie, or playing any games without them.
I have these but just found out about the Monster Turbine Pros…

Pretty excited for these. Thinking about upgrading.
^^worst interviewers ever- lol
who put that guy on tv??
earbuds and headphones are crazy bassy
headphones have more intense bass and clarity though (rrp $300)
Monster Cables and headphones are generally high quality products I know next to nothing about. These earbuds look amazing and I can’t deny the fact that I have never even tried them and tend to comment without thinking first. They’re just so damn crazy expensive seeing as they are priced lower than competing products.
Nothing I enjoy more than editing the idiotic comment of someone who clearly has never even tried the product in question and who is also clearly trying to shamelessly plug their website at the expense of mine with links to theirs. I suggest you take a course in web etiquette 1.0 and then return. It is a shame really as I would have been happy to assist you and your website otherwise.
Best. Earbuds. EVAR.
