PNY is clearly targeting the enthusiast/gamer market with this drive. This drive is very fast, short of switching to a PCI-Express you aren’t going to get much faster. With a list price of $159.99 this drive is a good buy. When you consider that it comes with a four-year warranty, a copy of “Acronis True Image HD”, and a spacer, it’s a great buy. At the time of writing this article PNY was participating in an Amazon one-day sale bringing the 480Gb down to $124.99.
If you need a new drive (even if you want a new drive) and you don’t put the PNY CS2211 as one of your top contenders you are making a mistake.
