Final Thoughts
Pros:
- Looks great
- Window
- Bottom mount PSU
- Plenty of airflow
- Decent price
Cons:
- Clearance issues with large coolers
- Not enough space behind motherboard tray for proper cable management
- USB 2.0 users left in the dust
Overall, it is hard to say what I think of the Raidmax Viper. It definitely has its share of problems and annoyances, but also has some very good features to balance it out. It seems as though Raidmax had some very good ideas and implemented some excellent features, but then fell a bit short when everything actually came together. I would say that this case would be very good for someone who wants to build a good looking system and then leave it at that, rather than an enthusiast who is going to be in and out of their PC often. For its current $60 price tag, there are better cases available, though perhaps without quite as many features.
But when it is all said and done, the Raidmax Viper is an alright case, for an alright price and would not be a bad buy.
