The HD 7850 OC was packed in a really thick padded electrostatic bag and tightly shoe horned into a form fitted box for shipment. There was no damage to our HD 7850 OC card. There were quite a few additional items that were also included in the box, but we will get to them in a bit.

The first looks at the HD 7850 OC we have twin fans which we discovered through benchmarking were actually pretty quiet under load. The black cover is just like the HD 7950 OC just a smaller card with smaller fans.

The HD 7850 OC has two mini displayports , one HDMI and one DVI port which are quite the norm with Radeon cards. Since the introduction of eyefinity the addition of mini display ports have been added for the additional monitors. Looking at the other end of the card we see there is only one 6pin power to the card.

We laid out the HD7850 next to the big brother HD7900 to give you a perspective of the difference in size. We then installed the HD7850 in our test rig which features the ASRock Fatal1ty x79 Professional motherboard where all the benchmarks below were done.
